The wind was blowing nicely on the outside but it was really light on the inside.
The challenge was to get back on the plane after the jibes, especially the first one.
The fleet was tightly packed going into the first gybe so the wind would literally die after the first few boards had come around the buoy.
The event was really well attended which made for exciting racing!
I had some good and some bad races. I guess I was somewhat more consistent than most to end up winning the event in the A fleet.
One of the best moments at the Crissy Field Slalom is the pizza party after the racing.
It didn't take long for the hungry riders to eat a few dozen pizzas and have some beer!
